Turning a nocturnal and modern night into a necklace

In an airplane at night as you approach your destination, I am always fascinated by the streets trace axes of light as far as the eye can see.

Flying over a city like Bangkok or New York is an impressive sight. Their districts draw regular axes dotted with modern constructions. This set of perpendiculars inspired me this necklace; the buildings are symbolized by pink sapphires in the princess cut and the axes, by rods with a square section in gold.
