The Grand Cerf passage situated in Paris’s 2nd arrondissement, still my favorite, inevitably revives fond memories of my studies at the Haute École de Joaillerie. I would walk through the passage every morning on my way to the campus jewelry workshop, remarking on its beauty and outstanding structure. It will always remain a source of inspiration.

I have never been and will never be able to figure out the creation process. Why does an idea appear at a specific moment? Why does my hand start drawing as if of its own accord? How am I so certain that I’m finished, that the result I wanted is before my eyes? Where does this light, this source of creation, come from? It goes without saying that I will never find the answers to my questions. And so, the only thing left for me to do is use my gift for others, to please them as well as myself.
